Fred Guttenberg on Gun Safety
October 10 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Father of Slain Parkland Student to Talk about Gun Violence and the 2020 Election
Fred Guttenberg, whose 14-year-old daughter, Jaime, was a victim of the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fl, says: “You cannot imagine how your life changes after losing a child to gun violence.”
The massacre took place on February 14, 2018 and since that date, Mr. Guttenberg has made both national and international news in his relentless pursuit of gun safety laws.
Michael Cantwell, president of the Democratic Club of Delray Beach, says “We are so pleased to host Mr. Guttenberg. It is a chance to learn about his heroic advocacy for gun safety laws, standing up to both the National Rifle Association and the politicians in their pocket.”
Mr. Guttenberg is a sought-after speaker and activist, with tens of thousands of Twitter followers. He founded Orange Ribbons for Jaime and is a member of the Everytown Survivor Network.
Mr. Guttenberg will discuss gun violence and the upcoming 2020 election at the Thursday, October 10th meeting of the Democratic Club of Delray at 7:00 PM at Pompey Park Recreation Center, 1101 NW 2nd Street Delray Beach, FL
